If you are in Australia, you have until the 20th of September to reserve a new style of domain name, which may, in the future, become the dominant URL address style for websites in Australia. The new domain name does away with the .com, .org, .net, .gov and just has yoursitename.au. More details about this can be found at https://www.auda.org.au/au-domain-names/au-domain-names/au-direct You need to already have an .au domain and an ABN to reserve such a domain name. If you don’t reserve the .au direct domain name, then someone else could purchase it, costing you business as people go to their website and not yours.
